At Peterbilt Truck Parts & Equipment, community isn’t just part of what we do—it’s part of who we are. This month, we’re honored to serve as the title sponsor of an event that combines two of our favorite things: great golf and giving back.
On Monday, June 16, the 3rd Annual Fairways for the Future Charity Golf Classic tees off at the beautiful Montreux Golf & Country Club in Reno. Hosted by the Nevada Kids Foundation, the tournament raises funds to support education programs, classroom resources, youth sports, and scholarships for children across Northern Nevada.
And yes, Montreux is just as exclusive as it sounds. Normally a private course, this is one of the few times each year the public gets to play its pristine greens—making the day even more special.
Every day, we rely on the power of preparation—making sure trucks are running safely, efficiently, and reliably. The same principle applies to young people. When kids are equipped with the tools, support, and opportunities they need early on, they’re far more likely to succeed later in life.
That’s the driving force behind the Nevada Kids Foundation’s work. Their programs provide essential school supplies, fund classroom wish lists, support youth athletics, and offer scholarships to students who need a hand up. As a local organization, they’re making a direct impact right here in our community—and that’s something we’re proud to stand behind.
Fairways for the Future is no ordinary charity golf event. This year, the tournament has expanded to include two full shotgun starts—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—allowing more participants to enjoy the course and contribute to the cause.
Golfers will enjoy a world-class round at Montreux while knowing their participation is helping to fund real change for kids in our region. From green fees to gear, it’s a day of good fun for a great purpose.
If you’re a golfer—or just someone who wants to support Nevada kids—there’s still time to sign up. A few afternoon foursome spots remain, and sponsorship opportunities are still available for local businesses looking to get involved.
