
Peterbilt Truck Parts & Equipment and Silver State International announced Kristopher Brown has been promoted to leasing general manager for the company’s Idealease and Paclease divisions.
Prior to this, Brown was a service technician for Silver State International. His responsibilities included diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of trucks and equipment, mentoring apprentice technicians, assisting colleagues with troubleshooting and repairs, overhauling diesel engines, resolving complex electrical issues, and liaison with Original Equipment Manufacturers to ensure vehicles were repaired to the highest standard.
In his new role as leasing general manager, Brown will oversee the daily operations of the lease and rental department. His duties will encompass managing operational expenses in line with business plan objectives, maintaining facilities and assets, driving profitable growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Brown’s qualifications include completion of courses in Paclease Franchise Management, supervisory training and various OEM-provided training. He is also the recipient of an International Master Truck Certification and was honored with an internal MVP award in 2023.
Outside of his professional commitments, Brown dedicates his time to serving on the High Desert Little League board of directors and volunteering as a coach for multiple youth sports.

Peterbilt Truck Parts & Equipment announced recent expansion of its cutting-edge body shop.
The expanded facility boasts 12 service bays and has provided six new positions within the department. The facility is equipped with the area’s only Beeline-certified frame correction rack.
The body shop also features a 50-foot side down draft paint booth with an Imron Elite mixing bank, AcquireRX camera, a full line of fabrication and welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, Air Arc, and capabilities in steel and aluminum.
The body shop is open Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Peterbilt Truck Parts & Equipment and Silver State International announced that Mike Altimus has been promoted to President.
With a tenure of more than 30 years, Altimus’ journey with Silver State International and Peterbilt Truck Parts & Equipment began when he joined as a parts runner at the age of 18.
As he moved up through the ranks, Altimus served in parts sales, outside sales, and eventually as a parts manager.
In 2007, owner of Silver State International, John Phillips purchased the Peterbilt Truck Parts & Equipment dealership, and brought the two management teams together.
Altimus was promoted to the director of parts for both dealerships, allowing him the opportunity to manage a $20 million per year department.
In 2010, Altimus was promoted to general manager, and after three years in that role, to vice president/general manager of both companies.
Altimus has a wealth of leadership experience in ensuring that the company meets set goals, plans for growth, leads the market, and continues to have financial security.
In his new role, Altimus will be responsible for achieving business goals and growth, developing strategic partnerships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, as well as fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the two companies.
Altimus supports many local high school sports and clubs. He also has engaged with organizations like Project Bear Hugs, Special Olympics, and Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation.
